It’s a wrap

June 6th, 2008 by admin in diligent news, web 2.0

P babyAfter three weeks of production, our favorite Parrot Bluetooth Handsfree car kit project is finally complete. So what did we learn about the birds and the bees? 1. Working with birds is easier than we thought. Just don’t talk loudly, flash bright lights, move scaffolding, or redress the set when they’re around because once they lose their cool, it’s all over. Now that we think about, maybe working with birds is harder than we thought. 2. Driving and talking on the phone, while still en vogue, will be no longer be legal in the state of California as of July 1, 2008. So put down your Starbucks, your Ipod, your mascara brush, your blackberry, your Iphone, your other cellphone and concentrate on the road, idiot! You have enough distractions as is! Now can you please change the radio station and hang a U-turn? WATCH OUT!!!!! 3. No, Polly does not want a cracker; in fact, Polly can’t even say that Polly wants a cracker unless Polly has been extensively trained for years and years and years. Birds rarely speak on command; we don’t know what caged bird sings. Can you help us find it? See all our hard work in its glory:
While you’re at it, why don’t you send it to your friends, your mama, your daddy, your baby mama, and your pet bird. After all, sharing is caring! In closing, we ask you to please start abiding by the new California driving law as of July 1 because getting pulled over by a cop is no way to start your summer vacation. March 27th, 2008 by admin in diligent news, web 2.0

WePlayThe new Creative Arts Angency (CAA) and Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLB) online innitiative – weplay.com soft-launched this week featuring content produced by Diligent.

The New York Times ran a story on the launch in the technology section earlier this week:

“The venture, WePlay.com, a social networking site for youth sports — something like Facebook for young athletes — is expected to start in mid-April. The site caters to youth athletes, parents and coaches — a vast audience. About 52 million children a year participate in organized sports leagues, according to the National Council of Youth Sports….

“Two hundred forty million people in America are one degree of separation from youth sports,” said Steve Hansen, the chief executive of WePlay. “Youth sports is held together by e-mails, phone calls and clip boards. We want to change that.””
